Anthony De Ceglie resigned as CEO of the Perth Bears on Friday after holding the role for less than 18 months. Code Sports reported on Tuesday that the Bears board was preparing to fire De Ceglie.
ARLC chairman Peter V'landys stepped in to save his job, though the reprieve lasted only days. De Ceglie announced his resignation on Friday evening.
Gareth Holmes, the general manager of football, will take over as interim CEO. The club will search for a permanent replacement.
De Ceglie is a former director of news at Seven West Media and former editor of The West Australian. He said he remained proud of the club's startup progress ahead of its first season in 2027.
