Albanese government names Sussan Ley and Merryn York to Snowy Hydro board more than seven months after Ley's opposition leadership spill.
The Albanese government appointed Sussan Ley and Merryn York to the Snowy Hydro board. Ley led the opposition until February, when a spill removed her.
The Farrer MP had been environment minister under Scott Morrison. Energy Minister Chris Bowen said Ley's regional background and understanding of Snowy 2.0 would help the board.
York, a former CEO of major electricity companies, brings deep energy expertise. Snowy 2.0 is a major expansion project.
It is delayed and not expected to finish until late 2029.
