Woman hospitalised after Wollongong hotel assault
A woman suffered head injuries in an alleged assault at the Mantra Hotel and walked to hospital bleeding.
A woman was allegedly assaulted at the Mantra Hotel on Gladstone Avenue in Wollongong early on Sunday morning. The assault happened at 5am.
A witness saw the woman walk to nearby Wollongong Hospital still bleeding from head injuries. Police were called to the hospital's emergency department at 5:30am.
The woman told officers she was attacked by a 24-year-old woman and an unidentified man. She was not a hotel guest but was visiting someone there.
People staying at the hotel reported hearing loud noises and a woman screaming. The woman is in stable condition.
