Teen arrested with burns after suspicious fire at Melbourne restaurant

A 15-year-old boy was found with burns after a suspicious fire at a Korean barbecue restaurant in Melbourne.

Two intruders allegedly broke into the Springvale Rd business near Windsor Ave shortly after midnight on Sunday. Black smoke poured from the top floor moments later.

No one was inside the restaurant at the time. The intruders allegedly fled in a car.

A short time later, the teenager was found with burns. He was at a fast food restaurant on Warrigal Road in nearby Heatherton.

Police arrested him at the venue and took him to hospital under guard.
