Man charged after nachos attack on mother and son at MCG
A 34-year-old Seaford man was charged with assault after throwing nachos at a mother and her eight-year-old son at the MCG.
Victoria Police charged the man with two counts of aggravated assault and one count of throw missile on Thursday. The incident happened September 19 during the Brisbane-Hawthorn preliminary final.
The mother, Rose, and her son were seated in the grandstands when a Hawks supporter threw a plate of nachos at them. Rose and her eight-year-old son were not physically injured, but both were covered in guacamole and salsa.
Rose told police the man looked "really angry" and she wasn't sure what he'd do next. Her son said he was scared and confused by the ordeal.
