The new Tasmania Devils AFL team is flying seven young prospects to Hobart this week for final interviews and contract negotiations. West Australian talent Axel Walsh has already arrived.
Six Victorian prospects are heading to Tasmania on Wednesday, including Angus Brown and Riley Stratford from Sandringham Dragons. All seven will meet coach Ken Hinkley.
They will tour the club's future facilities. The deals will be four-year contracts.
This gives the club a head start on players who would be eligible for next year's draft. The Devils can take up to 12 prospects over two years under AFL list rules.
