Retired cleaner Tony Cue found dead in Woodridge unit
Tony Cue, 65, found dead in Woodridge unit after welfare check; 32-year-old charged with murder.
Cue was discovered inside his North Rd unit about 7.15am on Tuesday after someone known to him requested a welfare check. Police found an obvious injury which detectives believe suggests a crime and declared the unit a crime scene.
Cue had lived in the complex for a decade. A 32-year-old man was arrested in Beenleigh about 7.50pm the same day and charged with murder.
Arrest footage captured officers taking him into custody near a train station. The accused appeared briefly in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Wednesday before being taken to hospital, with the case adjourned until Thursday.
