Charlotte Patmore, 10, sometimes beats adult bowls veterans at Burnie club
At just 10 years old, Charlotte Patmore is the youngest member at Burnie Bowls Club. She sometimes beats players decades her senior.
Charlotte Patmore got into bowls because her dad Danny and older sister Imogen both play. Now in her second season, she plays regularly against much older club members.
She holds her own against them. Imogen has just made the Tigers' premier league side for 2026-27.
She will travel to Perth next month for nationals. Burnie Bowls Club has embraced youth participation.
Five members under 18 play regularly, including 11-year-old Jake Smith and 13-year-old Miller Hanlon. Blade Pile, 16, has also been selected for the state's nationals side.
The club is hosting junior training sessions starting Sunday, October 25, at 9am. The Bowls North West season begins October 10.
