Two charged after Launceston raids find stolen gun, $15k cash and meth
Police raids found methylamphetamine, MDMA, $15,650 in cash, stolen motorcycles and a 2021 shotgun.
The Northern Drugs and Firearms Unit raided four properties, two in Mayfield and two in Invermay on September 22. At a Mayfield house they found 48 grams of methylamphetamine.
At an Invermay home they found 26 grams of methylamphetamine, 20 grams of MDMA, and $15,650 in cash. Police also found four stolen motorcycles and two stolen mountain bikes.
They found a shotgun stolen in 2021. A 36-year-old Mayfield man was charged with drug trafficking and property offences.
A 38-year-old Invermay man was charged with drug trafficking and firearms offences. Both faced court on September 23.
