Man charged over pistol and 15kg cannabis found in Hunter Valley raid
Jackson Carey is 28 years old. He faces 11 charges. Police found about 15kg of cannabis, a pistol, drugs and cash at his property.
Police raided a property at Muswellbrook on September 23. They arrested Jackson Carey.
Officers say they found a pistol, a paintball gun, banned weapons and about 15 kilograms of cannabis. Officers from the Drug and Firearm Squad also found psilocybin, cocaine, THC gummies, steroids and prescription medicine.
They found $12,630 in cash as well. A secret drug lab was allegedly found at the Cassidy Avenue property.
Carey was charged with 11 crimes. These include drug possession, drug supply, having banned weapons and illegal firearms.
He was also charged with dealing with crime proceeds. He was granted bail on September 24.
His bail has conditions. He must report to police every day.
He must follow a curfew. He cannot use alcohol or drugs.
