Mount Gambier teen races world's best sim drivers at 4am Monday
Mount Gambier's Xavier Cain races the Porsche eSports World Championship Monday morning for $US10,000.
Xavier will compete from home against elite simulator racers worldwide in the 2026 championship. Xavier joined professional team Automoves Racing just six months ago.
Xavier has already reached the top 1 per cent of racers on iRacing. The competition also offers a shot at a real-world development driving role with Porsche.
Xavier said he is focused on learning this year. He is not chasing a specific finish position.
He hopes to return for many seasons ahead.
