95-year-old dies a week after mobility scooter-van crash in Canberra

A 95-year-old man riding a blue mobility scooter crashed with a white van. This happened at the intersection of Ginninderra Drive and Haydon Drive in Bruce, Canberra on September 13 at 11:10am.
The 95-year-old and the 47-year-old van driver were taken to hospital with minor injuries at first. The man's condition got worse over the following week.
He died in hospital on September 20. The death marks the 12th road fatality on ACT roads this year.
Police will submit a report on what happened to the coroner. The death comes weeks after two cyclists, Bridie Lee, 32, and Ryan Riethmuller, 39, were killed in a group cycling crash along Gungahlin Drive.
