Sydney Grammar retains top spot in Australia's top 100 private schools
Sydney Grammar keeps top ranking in News Corp's analysis of 1,300 schools, charging $52,410 yearly.
Sydney Grammar School has been ranked Australia's number one private school for the second year running in News Corp's Top 100 Schools list. The school topped the list based on strong Year 7 and 9 NAPLAN results, high attendance, and five-star prestige and facilities.
The school's annual senior fee is $52,410. The ranking analysed 1,300 schools across NAPLAN and Year 12 results, student-teacher ratios, attendance, and socio-economic status.
For the first time, state-based education experts also rated prestige, subjects and facilities. New South Wales dominated the top 100, claiming 34 of the 100 spots and six of the top ten schools.
All-girls schools Abbotsleigh and Ascham filled second and third in NSW. Victoria's Presbyterian Ladies' College topped that state, with 33 Victorian schools making the elite list overall.
