Garner holds AFLW player of the year lead over Rowbottom
Jas Garner maintains her three-vote lead over Charlie Rowbottom after both received maximum points in round 8 AFLW voting.
Round 8 of AFLW coaches' voting produced eight perfect 10-point performances, with Jas Garner staying ahead of Charlie Rowbottom. Garner now has 65 votes to Rowbottom's 62 in the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year race.
Jas Garner earned the maximum 10 votes this week, as did Charlie Rowbottom. Melbourne coach Tom Wilson and Collingwood coach Sam Wright voted identically for their head-to-head game, both awarding Tyla Hanks the maximum.
Each game's two senior coaches give votes on a 5-4-3-2-1 basis, with 10 the highest possible in any round. The player with the most votes at season's end wins the award.
Georgie Prespakis sits third on 54 votes.
