St Kilda's 87-game veteran Jack Lonie joins Albury for 2027
Jack Lonie, a 30-year-old who played 87 games for St Kilda, has signed with Albury in the Ovens and Murray league.
Lonie spent seven seasons at St Kilda, kicking 73 goals across his 87 games, and played alongside Albury's current best and fairest Ben Paton. Lonie has spent the past three seasons with Cheltenham in the Southern Football League.
Lonie appeared in three grand finals and won the first two before losing this year's decider by 26 points. Named in the best for Cheltenham's two-point win in 2024, Lonie was best on ground in the 2025 grand final with four of the team's six goals.
Co-coach Anthony Miles said Lonie's fitness and left-foot kicking will complement the midfielders after Jake Gaynor's knee injury. Albury has also re-signed a forward for two more years.
