Watch and Act alert for Gippsland bushfire near Loch Sport
Bushfire burned south-easterly towards Paradise Beach as 27 CFA crews battled the blaze.
A bushfire broke out at Seacombe in Central Gippsland on Sunday afternoon, about 42 kilometres east of Sale. The CFA issued a Watch and Act alert for Golden Beach, Paradise Beach and Seacombe.
By 6:30pm the threat had reduced and alerts were downgraded to monitor conditions. Crews responded to reports of smoke around 1:20pm on the Longford-Loch Sport Road, where the fire burned in a south-easterly direction towards Paradise Beach.
By 6pm, 27 CFA vehicles were on scene with air support requested. The cause has not been determined.
