Solstice Minerals confirms major copper-gold strike in Western Australia
Solstice Minerals reported a 169-metre intersection grading 0.87 per cent copper and 0.29 grams per tonne gold.
Solstice Minerals announced drill results from its Nanadie copper-gold project, located 95 kilometres southeast of Meekatharra in Western Australia. The drill hole returned a 169.3-metre intersection grading 0.87 per cent copper and 0.29g/t gold, with a stronger 73.3-metre section at 1.07 per cent copper and 0.26g/t gold.
Within that zone were several higher-grade intervals: 8 metres at 2.12 per cent copper and 0.45g/t gold, plus 6.3 metres at 2.65 per cent copper and 0.46g/t gold. The same hole also returned 4.6 metres at 1.65 per cent copper and 0.26g/t gold east of the expected contact, suggesting an emerging eastern mineralised zone.
Nanadie's current mineral resource stands at 40.4 million tonnes grading 0.4 per cent copper and 0.1g/t gold.
