Pandora reunited with owners 6 years after car crash escape
Pandora was found six years after escaping from a crashed van during a house move, located through her microchip.
Pandora escaped in 2020 when Billy Bowie's van crashed near Errol in Perthshire while the family was moving from Essex to Scotland. Pandora's cat basket was thrown from the vehicle and she fled.
The family searched repeatedly but never found her. Last month, a woman called Cats Protection after a hungry cat kept trying to enter her house.
Volunteer Fiona Morrison scanned the cat and found an active microchip with contact details. When Cats Protection called, Mary was celebrating her 62nd birthday and called the reunion the biggest and best surprise.
Pandora immediately recognised her name.
