Bendigo Football Netball League returns to self-management
The Bendigo Football Netball League has stopped using AFL Victoria's administration hub. It now manages itself again.
The Bendigo Football Netball League has returned to self-management. The league operated under AFL Victoria's Regional Administrative Centre model since 2011.
The change came into effect this week. The hub system that ran Bendigo is now ending.
The Heathcote District and Loddon Valley leagues remain under Central Victoria Sports Administration. Under the new structure, the BFNL will take direct responsibility.
This covers governance, employment, administration and operations. The BFNL will also provide services to the Bendigo Junior Football League.
AFL Victoria maintains a regional office at La Trobe University Bendigo. Staff there will support leagues through the transition.
