Fremantle legend McManus to present cup if Dockers end drought
Shaun McManus is an inaugural Docker from 1995. He will present the premiership cup to captain Alex Pearce if Fremantle wins.
Fremantle have named Shaun McManus as their cup presenter for Saturday's grand final against Brisbane. McManus was part of the Dockers' inaugural 1995 squad.
McManus played 228 games across 14 seasons. Shaun McManus captained the team alongside Adrian Fletcher from 2000 to 2001.
He also played alongside current coach Justin Longmuir. The 50-year-old has remained deeply involved with the club since retiring in 2008.
He has worked in player development and other roles behind the scenes. Fremantle chief Simon Garlick said McManus is a perfect example of the club's values and foundation years.
If the Dockers beat Brisbane, McManus will hand the cup to captain Pearce in a historic moment.
