Court orders two Newcastle childcares to close over unpaid debts

Two Newcastle childcare centers have been ordered to close after a court found them unable to pay their debts. The Little Unicorn on Honeysuckle and The Little Unicorn Charlestown shut down with less than a day's warning to families last week.
A judicial registrar wound up both companies and appointed a liquidator. The centers owed creditors more than $39,000 combined.
These debts included cleaning fees and workers compensation payments. Families and staff were left stranded.
