Pregnant woman killed in Gaza as violence continues despite ceasefire

Pregnant Palestinian Iman Shalouf, 27, was shot dead in Gaza as at least 10 Palestinians were killed in 48 hours.

Pregnant Palestinian woman Iman Shalouf, 27, died on Saturday after being shot in the head while sitting in her family's tent near Khan Younis in Gaza. The unborn baby was due in November and would be named Ayoub.

The baby also died. Shalouf was rushed to Nasser hospital.

Doctors first found the baby's heartbeat. But both died hours later.

Iman Shalouf's family said she was shot while Israeli forces conducted operations in the area. The Gaza health ministry reported at least 10 Palestinians killed and 56 wounded in Israeli attacks over 48 hours.

Strikes were happening across northern, central and southern Gaza. This was despite a ceasefire agreement made in October 2025.
