Liverpool vs Man City: ten-man Liverpool lose at Anfield
Haaland, Doku and Cherki scored for City, who keep their perfect Premier League start alive.
Liverpool's Ryan Gravenberch was shown a second yellow card in the 62nd minute, leaving the home side with ten men. Manchester City then took control and went on to win at Anfield.
Erling Haaland scored first, and substitute Jérémy Doku added a curling goal. Ryan Cherki added a team goal after a back-heel from substitute Josko Gvardiol.
Haaland later scored again from a deflected Doku cross. An independent commission found City guilty on virtually all of more than 100 charges about breaking financial rules.
City maintain their innocence and have appealed. Liverpool fans had chanted taunts and held up a banner calling City cheats.
Liverpool suffered their first defeat under manager Andoni Iraola.
