Trial hears Lamarre-Condon accessed Baird's phone before alleged killing

Beau Lamarre-Condon accessed Jesse Baird's phone and monitored his messages in the months before the alleged shooting.

A Sydney murder trial heard Beau Lamarre-Condon accessed Jesse Baird's phone and monitored his social media. Lamarre-Condon photographed a private Instagram message.

In it, Baird said they were not in a relationship. Lamarre-Condon shared it with a police colleague.

Lamarre-Condon then deleted other men's contacts from Baird's phone. He used Instagram features to discourage romantic rivals.

Court evidence showed Lamarre-Condon grew more focused after the break-up. Lamarre-Condon has pleaded not guilty to two murder counts.

His lawyers claim self-defence. The Crown says his obsessive, jealous feelings led to the deaths of Baird and his new boyfriend Luke Davies in February 2024.
