Loch Ness monster sighting logged by German tourist
A German tourist reported spotting a six-metre creature swimming at the surface of Loch Ness on August 21.
Felix Tiekemeier told the Official Loch Ness Monster Sightings Register he saw a black shape moving through the water about 300 metres away. The creature surfaced, stayed visible for about 20 seconds, then disappeared.
Tiekemeier took a photograph showing a dark shape in the water. The sighting is the 14th recorded on the register this year, already surpassing 2023's total of 10 and the whole of 2025.
Sightings have accelerated in recent months, suggesting increased interest in the Scottish loch.
