The Looney Tunes film Coyote vs ACME earned $100 million at the box office after Warner Bros planned to destroy it.
Coyote vs ACME, a live-action and animated Looney Tunes film, has reached $100 million at the global box office. Warner Bros planned to scrap the movie as a tax write-off because they spent $70 million and doubted it would earn that back.
Production company Ketchup Entertainment bought the rights for $50 million, bringing the film back after it finished production in 2023. The movie follows Wile E. Coyote suing ACME for damages after years of failed attempts to catch the Road Runner.
Critics praised its humour and animation, calling it one of the funniest films of the year and comparing it to Who Framed Roger Rabbit for its blend of live-action and cartoon worlds.
