Luke Travers chases NBA return from Melbourne United
Luke Travers is averaging 10 points per game in his first four NBL games after two years with Cleveland's G-League team.
Luke Travers left Melbourne United in 2022 when Cleveland drafted him 56th overall. Luke Travers spent two seasons developing with their G-League team, the Charge.
Now back in the NBL, he's scoring 10 points per game across the opening four matches. Melbourne started 1-3 after pre-season injuries hit the roster.
Travers wants to make the Boomers' Olympic and World Cup squads and return to the NBA. He's learning from Joe Ingles, 38, a former NBA star and Australian basketball legend, and Cole Anthony, who scored for Orlando in the NBA.
Travers says big expectations "scare" him but he's focused on daily progress.
