The baby arrives when the AFL season kicks off. Tyra said the 7NEWS newsroom has had new babies born this year.

She looks forward to getting tips from colleagues who are new parents. The couple have two boxer dogs, Hugo and George.

They say their dogs will be happy to have a little sister.
