Eyad created Kids Can Spell app and YouTube channel for young students and competes Friday for state title.
Eyad Mohamed is a year 6 student from Wollongong who is passionate about spelling. With his father Amr, Eyad created an app called Kids Can Spell that grew from a spelling book.
The app comes with a YouTube channel where he shares spelling tips and techniques. Eyad competes in the NSW Premier's Spelling Bee on Friday in Penrith, his second attempt at a state title.
In 2024 as a year 4 student, he finished third in the state final. Eyad said his tips for improving are to not overthink spelling and to get proper sleep and relaxation.
