Four-year-old dies in house fire near Cowra
A four-year-old's body was found inside a fully engulfed home on Waugoola Road after emergency services responded at 3pm on Saturday.
Emergency services were called to the house fire in Woodstock, about 22 kilometres north-east of Cowra, on Saturday afternoon. A woman and two children escaped the property, but a four-year-old child remained unaccounted for.
The woman was taken to Cowra Hospital in stable condition with smoke inhalation. Fire and Rescue NSW extinguished the blaze and located the child's body.
A crime scene has been established and inquiries are ongoing. A report will be prepared for the coroner.
