Bakery thief warned he faces prison if he doesn't comply with orders
Mitchell Bell, 29, warned he will face prison if he fails to comply with his corrections orders.
Bell stole $1,465 in cash takings from his employer Reeves Bakery in March 2023. Bell was caught on security camera and ordered to do 120 hours of community work.
Mitchell Bell then committed further offences and was given corrections orders for community work, treatment and counselling. The orders expire at the end of November.
Magistrate Simon Guthrie told Bell that prison might seem easier than rehabilitation, but it would not help him address his issues. He was ordered to reappear in court on 23 November and warned that not engaging could have some serious consequences.
