One Nation leases Brisbane office bought by Gina Rinehart
Gina Rinehart's company bought an $8 million Brisbane office for One Nation to lease at commercial rates, and Barnaby Joyce says there is no conflict.
Rinehart's property investment company Hanrine bought a three-storey Spring Hill office last week, to be One Nation's national headquarters. The building was valued at about $8 million.
Joyce told News24 the party would lease it at market rates with no preferential treatment. Rinehart's Hancock Prospecting said it provides no free or discounted space to any tenant.
The Guardian revealed Hanson and Joyce stayed at Rinehart's $20 million Brisbane mansion in April and that One Nation failed to declare flights gifted by Hancock Prospecting. Hanson has said she considers Rinehart an unofficial policy adviser.
