Woman arrested after stabbing man on busy Sydney street in broad daylight
A woman stabbed a 48-year-old man on King Street in Newtown mid-morning Monday.
A stabbing incident unfolded on King St in Newtown about 11:40am on Monday. A woman stabbed a 48-year-old man in the hand.
The man was treated and taken to hospital in stable condition. Police searching the area found a 27-year-old woman allegedly armed with a knife.
When she refused to drop it, officers used a Taser and arrested her. King St between Church St and Wilson St remains closed.
Bus routes have been diverted. The woman is at Newtown Police Station with inquiries ongoing.
