Richmond delists three as list overhaul continues
Tyler Sonsie, James Trezise and Samson Ryan told they won't be offered 2027 contracts.
Richmond has ended its deals with three players as it continues reshaping its list. Sonsie, a midfielder selected in the 2021 draft, played 15 games in 2026 and averaged 16.3 disposals, his best return since his debut season of 2022.
Trezise moved from the VFL program in the 2023 mid-season draft and played 14 games this year from a career total of 38. Ryan, a ruck-forward from the 2020 draft, made 31 senior appearances mostly as backup to Toby Nankervis.
All three played for the club across multiple years. Richmond Executive General Manager, Football Talent Blair Hartley thanked all three for their efforts and wished them well for their future.
