Zelenskyy signals openness to meeting Putin at December G20 summit
Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he would meet Vladimir Putin at the G20 summit in December to discuss ending the war.
Zelenskyy told German broadcaster Deutsche Welle he would meet his Russian counterpart. "We have to meet, to speak, and make decisions," he said.
The G20 summit is set for Miami on December 14 and 15 with US leadership. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is expected to attend.
Russia is sending officials to a separate G20 energy meeting in Houston next week. As the war nears its fifth year, both countries continue military strikes while European leaders discuss potential peacekeeping forces.
