The search is over. Jacinda Ardern and her husband Clarke Gayford have purchased a $5.3 million home in Dee Why on Sydney's northern beaches, ending months of speculation about where the couple would settle.
The sale marks the biggest transaction the suburb has seen this year. The former New Zealand Prime Minister arrived in Australia with her family earlier in 2026.
In March, her office said they would base themselves out of Australia "for the moment" because of work opportunities and the chance to spend more time back home in New Zealand. Since arriving, Ardern has been spotted around Sydney on several occasions, including at the Chatswood Chase Apple Store, at auctions on the northern beaches, and waiting for a bus on the northern beaches.
The property purchase brings to an end the couple's lengthy house-hunting process across the area.
