ACT Police ran their biggest-ever operation against cannabis grow houses, executing 15 search warrants over one week. Officers seized 1586 cannabis plants, 70 kilos of dried cannabis and $86,000 in cash.
Nine people were arrested, including five illegal immigrants. Police say this may have caused major damage to an organized crime group.
Detective Acting Inspector Mark Battye said cannabis money pays for drug making and smuggling. The operation used officers from ACT Police, the AFP, and Australian Border Force.
