Hanson tells farmers to keep young people on the land
One Nation leader urged farmers to tell kids to stay in agriculture, saying change is coming.
Pauline Hanson addressed a packed crowd at Tuesday's Henty Machinery Field Days, urging them to encourage their children to remain in agriculture. Pauline Hanson said young people need productive farms, growing businesses and towns where they can get trades and jobs.
Hanson acknowledged farmers were telling their kids there's no future in farming, but pushed back. Pauline Hanson promised change is coming and told them not to give up.
The crowd gave her a rousing reception. However, a scheduled 11:30 am media appearance did not happen, leaving television crews and reporters waiting outside a private lunch.
