$50,000 meth seized in V/Line bus, Warrnambool man arrested
Police arrested a Warrnambool man carrying 98 grams of meth and substantial cash after a five-month investigation.
Police found 98 grams of meth in baggage on a Warrnambool V/Line bus on April 15. Police estimate the meth had a street value of about $50,000.
A five-month police operation led to the arrest of a Warrnambool man on September 18. Police say the man also carried substantial cash.
This cash was said to be proceeds of crime. The man is known to police and charged with trafficking a large amount of meth.
He was remanded in custody and will face Warrnambool Magistrates Court on September 21 for a bail hearing. The charge carries a maximum penalty of 25 years in prison.
