Wollongong residents get multiple census forms and fear fines as a result
At least one resident at a Wollongong apartment block got two census forms because the building has two addresses.
The Pinnacle apartment in Staff Street sits across two lot numbers (28 and 30). All 24 residents got duplicate census forms.
One resident got three copies. The ABS said to fill only one form, but reminder notices came for both addresses, plus a hard copy.
The resident worried about penalties. The ABS confirmed people who already submitted won't be fined.
Double-ups happen when a building is known by an alias as well as an address.
