DCE chases record 15-year gap between NRL premierships

Daly Cherry-Evans, now 37, pursues a second NRL premiership 15 years after his first in 2011.

Cherry-Evans won his first NRL premiership with Manly in 2011 at age 22, earning rookie of the year and scoring a try in the grand final. The 37-year-old is now the only current NRL player born in the 1980s and plays for the Roosters.

With 352 first-grade games behind him, he faces Penrith on Sunday in the semi-finals. If the Roosters win a premiership, his 15-year gap would break Luke Lewis' record of 13 years and become the longest in NRL history.
