A helicopter crashed on a pastoral property west of Broken Hill on Saturday, killing the 51-year-old pilot.

He died at the scene. SA Police Major Crash Investigators attended the property.

The Australian Transport Safety Board and the Australian Sport Rotorcraft Association were told about the crash. Investigations are ongoing.
