CommBank closes branch 36 days after pledging to keep all regional ones open
Commonwealth Bank is closing its Albion Park branch just 36 days after pledging to keep all regional branches open.
The Commonwealth Bank will close its Albion Park branch next month. The closure goes against a pledge made just 36 days earlier to keep all regional branches open.
The bank says Albion Park is metropolitan under the ARIA+ classification system. The NSW government and the bank's own Regional Movers Index list the area as regional.
After closure, customers must travel to Shellharbour (8km away) or Dapto (10km away) for face-to-face banking. The bank plans to leave an ATM and hopes customers will use its larger, recently updated branches nearby.
