Tilba Festival returns September 26 with games, music and spring cheer
After a year away, the Tilba Festival is returning on September 26 with kids' games, live music and community celebration.
Central Tilba's beloved annual festival is back after a year's break, timed for the start of spring school holidays. Bate Street will be lined with spring flowers and hand-painted banners from three decades, plus artisans and food trucks.
Kids can enjoy egg tossing, cheese rolling, boot throwing and a new bowling game using fire-truck hoses. Local country band Dust & Echos and Abby May will perform; Abby May won the Special Judges Award at the 2025 Australian National Busking Championships.
Volunteers have restored old banners from the early 1990s and added new creations from Central Tilba Public School. A shuttle service runs between the Tilba Tilba oval and the festival all day.
