Orange council weighs $100m seniors housing estate
Cap Ferrat Advisory is proposing a $100 million gated community of 200 tiny homes for over-55s on 10.9 hectares in Orange.
Orange councillors are considering a manufactured home estate (MHE) that would be the town's first. The project spans 10.9 hectares at Lone Pine Avenue and Brabham Way, with blocks under 200 square metres on leased land.
Dwellings would be built off-site. A clubhouse, pool and bowling green are planned.
Council staff raised concerns about gated access and limited design input over individual homes. The project involves $112.7 million in direct construction investment.
