North Albury woman narrowly granted bail after park assault charge
Meaghan Pitts, 40, was narrowly bailed despite assault, stalking, and driving charges, plus a history of missing court.
Meaghan Jayne Pitts faced bail court on Tuesday after arrest in North Albury. Pitts was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm following a punch-up in a park that injured her former partner's new partner.
Pitts also faces charges for failing to comply with police, refusing an oral fluid test, suspended driving, and stalking. Pitts has a poor record of missing court dates and is wanted in Queensland for decades-old offences.
Judge Miranda Moody narrowly decided to grant bail, warning Pitts she had lost all her chances. She was ordered to comply with a curfew, daily police reporting, and a drug and alcohol ban, and must stay away from the alleged assault victim and her ex-partner.
She returns to court on September 23.
