Rider dies in crash near Dungog
A 69-year-old man died on Saturday after his motorcycle crashed into a safety barrier on Bingleburra Road.
The man rode with a group near Dungog, about 17 kilometres away. His bike hit the barrier and threw him from the machine.
Emergency services arrived around 11.50am on Saturday. But he died at the scene before paramedics could fly him to hospital.
Police took the damaged motorcycle for forensic testing and set up a crime scene. An investigation into the crash is ongoing, and a report will go to the coroner.
