Man faces court over two alleged dating app assaults
Aitamoit Mon, 31, has pleaded not guilty to sexual assault charges over two alleged attacks on women he met online.
Aitamoit Mon faced the ACT Magistrates Court on Thursday and denied every charge brought against him. Police allege he assaulted a first woman at his Taylor home on 27 June after meeting her on a dating app.
The first woman reported the attack in June and gave a formal statement in August. Mon faces four counts of indecency without consent, common assault and attempted sexual intercourse without consent over that incident.
Police also allege he assaulted and raped a second woman at his home on 25 July. The second woman reported the alleged assault two days later, leading to his arrest on 30 July.
Mon denies six charges stemming from the second alleged attack, including three counts of sexual intercourse without consent and two of common assault. He remains in custody.
