Witness testifies Jake Robinson's killer boasted about murders in Mexico trial
A witness testified the accused killer boasted about murdering the three tourists and stealing their car.
Ari Gisell, the ex-girlfriend of the accused, testified in an Ensenada courtroom that Jesus Gerardo, known as El Kekas, boasted about making the victims 'cry beautifully' in their final moments. Gisell said her former partner claimed one victim pleaded 'please don't kill me because I have a wife'.
The three men-Callum Robinson, 32, Jake Robinson, 31, and their American friend Jack Carter Rhoad, 30-were murdered in April 2024 after a robbery. Gisell instigated the robbery by mentioning to El Kekas that the tourists had 'good tyres and good phones'.
She was jailed for 20 years last year. When El Kekas returned home, he was driving the tourists' car covered in blood and carried their phones and necklaces.
The three men were found down a well with gunshot wounds days after they vanished.
