Five Western Sydney roads locked in for $3 billion upgrade
Five major Western Sydney road projects worth $3 billion now have contracts locked in. Construction starts by the end of 2026.
Five road projects across Western Sydney have contracts locked in and will begin construction by the end of this year. Mamre Rd and Elizabeth Dr will each receive $1 billion in upgrades.
Mamre Rd converts 6 kilometres of single-lane road to two lanes between Erskine Park and Kemps Creek, with major intersection work to support population growth. Elizabeth Dr will be widened between Devonshire Road and Badgerys Creek Road to boost capacity to Western Sydney International Airport.
Garfield Road East, Henry Lawson Drive and Horsley Drive complete the package. The joint federal-state partnership aims to reduce travel times and improve safety as the region expands.
